The Torun University of Banking
The Torun University of Banking [Wyzsza Szkola Bankowa w Toruniu] is an institution of higher professional education established in compliance with the provisions of the Law on Higher Professional Education of 26 June 1997. The Torun University of Banking was founded pursuant to the decision of the Minister of National Education no. DNS-1-0145-125/RO/98 of 4 July 1998 and entered into the Register of Schools of Higher Professional Education on 27 August 1998 under no. 7 pursuant to the decision of the Minister of National Education no. DNS-1-0145-200/RO/98. Its operations are governed by the Statute of 11 December 2006 approved by the Minister of Science and Higher Education – decision no. DSW-3-411-240/06.
International Co-operation The Universities of Banking has more than 100 partner universities in all the countries of the European Union.
Each year, several foreign students come to the Universities of Banking in Torun to study in English for one or two semesters within the framework of international student exchange financed by the European Union. The same EU program enables the exchange of lecturers. Some international students, for example those from Ukraine, wish to study in Polish.
